Chained Devotion
Chapter One
Out of Luck
Endo wiped the drenched rag across his sweltering forehead, mopping up his own sweat into the already dripping piece of cloth. The storage unit on the pirate spaceship was not the best place to stowaway, but as a younger, smaller male living on his own, he didn't have much of a choice.
The air in the storage unit was stale and increasingly hard to breathe, but he had to suffer through it in order to reach the Inner Rings of the Avari Locus System. It was there he knew he'd find the answers to his past.
Still, making it to the Inner Rings was an extremely perilous journey since it required hopping from pirate ship to pirate ship as a stowaway. Pirates were one of the most dangerous groups of men in the known galaxy, considering almost all of them were oversized brutish men who used any means necessary to get what they wanted. Endo didn't want to think what would happen if he were discovered by one of them.
He wasn't worried, though, because he always took the necessary precautions in scooping out his next pirate ship. He planned ahead and made sure each ship had a storage unit. However, he could not have foreseen this storage unit's poor ventilation system.
Something must have broken during take off. He'd only been in the storage unit for two days, and the air was getting thinner and thinner. This ship wasn't scheduled to port for another eight days. His water supply was already running low and he was in serious trouble. He worried he'd have to risk going outside of the storage unit and into the nearby bathroom for more water.
Endo knew the entire inside and outside design of the ship simply from a smuggled map he'd bought before scooping out the ship. Still, he didn't want to risk making his presence known.
The more Endo thought about what he should do, the more his eyes seem to droop. His entire body felt heavy in the heat of the room, and he knew he was dehydrated even as the sweat continued to pour down his chest and back. But he couldn't seem to care, and he sprawled out his entire body behind the barrels of supplies, not caring if his feet stuck out.
............
Endo's eyes shot open as his ears registered the familiar swishing sound of the airtight metal door opening. He quickly moved his feet up behind the barrels and hoped that whoever had entered had not seen or heard him. But as he sat still and waited, he did not hear the closing of the storage door.
Worry knotted his gut, and Endo wondered if the person was already inside of the room. If that were true, then he was probably preparing to attack Endo. The stowaway debated peaking around the barrels to check for certain, but then he wondered if he shouldn't just grab his laser swords, which were sheathed and crisscrossed on his back.
As Endo edged his face closer to the barrel, he heard the barest shuffle of cloth against cloth, confirming his suspicions that someone was just around the corner of the barrel and about to attack him. He wasted no time, grabbed the hilts of both of his swords, and in the same motion, stood and unsheathed his swords, aiming them directly at his oncoming attacker.
Endo came face to face with a tall, broad, and blond haired man. The man's stunning emerald eyes widened as he noticed the smaller boy's defensive stance and his two laser-beam swords.
"Ah, looks like I didn't do a thorough check," the man said.
Endo narrowed his eyes questioningly at the man. What was he talking about? Had the man looked through Endo's stuff and tried to disarm him while he was sleeping? But if that were true, he would've surely woken up. He'd been trained by the military, and because of what he had experienced there, he'd become a light sleeper.
Endo shook his head, clearing his mind of all distracting thoughts. This man was just trying to confuse him, trying to make him think he'd already bested him.
Technically, Endo was already caught in a precarious situation since this man had caught him as a stowaway on their ship, but still, he wouldn't allow himself to panic. He'd been trained using the military's unique fighting methods and had fought bigger and stronger men than himself many times before. As long as he kept the fighting brief and managed to keep the fight within the storage unit, not drawing the attention of the entire ship, Endo could still kill this man, continue going undetected on the ship, and make it to the Inner Rings.
Seeing the raven-haired boy's resolve, the man smiled. His lightly bearded stubble made him look older and much more mature than Endo. His ash-blond hair looked almost brown in the dim light of the storage unit, and for the first time, Endo noticed he was dressed in all white. He had on white trousers, a white jacket with a light blue, collared undershirt, a white tie, and white gloves to finish off the dazzlingly effect. The only thing he was missing was a white hat, and Endo's heart dropped as he realized this man was the captain of the ship.
Even if he did manage to kill this man, everyone on the ship would notice the captain's disappearance. He clenched his teeth as the man's lips curved arrogantly at his reaction. Still, he knew what it meant to be captured by the men of a pirate ship.
Endo had heard stories about the women of the human race, but he'd never seen one. Many believed it was an alien race called the Sky Creatures that were solely responsible for the fatal extinction of all women. But all that had happened hundreds of years ago, so no one seemed to know for certain what killed the women or what started the war between the humans and Sky Creatures. Still, even today, people talked about it and argued whether the Sky Creatures were responsible. Either way, with no females for reproduction, the human race was constantly on the verge of extinction.
But mankind managed to survive through the use of technology and the advancement of cloning. Yet, with no surviving female DNA, the results were always the same: males. And soon the male population became a hierarchy of survival of the fittest. Stronger males dominated the top of the food chain and preyed on the weaker, smaller males, using any means necessary to capture them.
However, Endo, by no means, considered himself a weaker male. He would not be a toy for this entire ship's amusement. If he had to, he would kill them all.
The man's green eyes widened even more. "Oh, you are surprising for a pretty boy. No one has broken you yet, have they?" the man said and moved his hand towards his waist.
Endo no longer heard what he was saying. His eyes followed the captain's hand, as he knew the man had a weapon somewhere on his belt. Endo didn't wait for him to draw it and charged him. The man saw the smaller boy coming and rapidly drew out two blazer guns. Endo had fought against blazer guns a thousand times in the military. They were no match against his specialized weapons.
He easily dodged each laser blast the captain sent at him. And as the shots continued, he noticed the man only aimed at his shoulder or his leg, nothing vital. This would get that bastard killed.
Endo backed off slightly and let the captain aim the blaster at him again. This time, Endo began swirling his blue laser sword in a circle. The man looked at him curiously, but Endo swung the blue sword wide and purposefully to let him have an opening. The man saw his chance, aimed the blaster at Endo's left leg, and shot.
Endo swung the blue sword back down toward his leg, exactly in front of the beam of the blaster. The sword made contact with the beam and sent it reeling back in the direction of the man. Swiftly, he dodged the beam, but it managed to scrape his leg.
The bastard wasn't going to be easy to kill. The man looked up at Endo and grinned widely.
"I'm definitely not letting you go," he said as if that small scrape had invigorated him.
"I won't be easy to catch," Endo spat back at him.
"Hmm, then shall I get serious?" he asked and cocked his head as if he were just playing with Endo.
At his waist he pulled out a long sword. It was silver, skinny, and looked like something someone would use for fencing. Endo tried not to laugh at him because he looked dead serious. He decided he probably shouldn't underestimate the man.
Endo charged him again, but as he tried to clash swords with the man, the man ducked at the last second, avoiding Endo's swords and causing him to trip. The boy managed to catch his balance, but the captain hastily ducked behind Endo, and in one quick motion with his pointy sword, he stabbed Endo's right elbow, forcing him to drop the blue sword.
With his right arm injured, Endo quickly reeled on him and tried to connect their swords again, hoping his red sword would be strong enough to knock away the man's weak sword. But again, the man ducked and avoided his attack. This time he knocked over a nearby barrel, obviously trying to trip Endo.
"What the hell? Fight me, you coward!" Endo yelled at him.
His laugh was loud and hearty. "I'm a pirate. We don't fight fair," he said and sneered.
The man continued to dodge Endo's sword, and as he moved away from Endo, he continually tried to trip him by constantly throwing things in his path. When several objects finally distracted the boy and kept him from moving forward, creating distance between him and the man, Endo took his eyes off the captain for a moment to move some of the objects from his path.
Out of the corner of his eye, Endo saw a flash of movement, but it was too late as the cold steel pierced deep and painfully into his bicep. Like a reflex, Endo's arm released his other sword. Stunned, he was now defenseless. From clear across the room, the man had aimed the sword at Endo's arm and flung it at him like a dart.
Triumphant, a wide smile crossed the man's face as he strode over to Endo, working his way through the destroyed storage room. Unwillingly to accept his fate as a toy for this man's amusement, Endo grabbed the hilt of the long sword with his right hand and began to pull it out. He wanted to yank it out and pick up the red sword again, but as soon as he began to yank on the sword, pain shot up his entire body. He thought only of the alternative and what this man had planned for him. Endo squeezed his eyes shut, clenched his jaw, and pulled the sword out the rest of the way.
He heard the click of the man's black shoes approaching and realized he wouldn't have time to bend down and retrieve his sword. Instead, he tried to flip the long sword around and aim it at the captain. But the man wasn't injured, and somehow, he was inhumanely fast. Because in the blink of an eye, the giant man shoved Endo back against the ship's steel wall, grabbing for his wrist with the sword and twisting.
"Mmph!" Endo grunted and bit his tongue in surprise.
The man's sheer strength caught him off guard, and as his big, rough hand twisted once more around his wrist painfully, Endo dropped the long sword.
"This game is over. You belong to me," he said.
While he still had ahold of Endo, the man bent down momentarily and picked up his long sword. He released Endo only to hastily grab his still bleeding bicep.
"Ah." Endo flinched at the pain.
"No more funny business. You are coming with me," the man said and began to haul Endo towards the exit of the storage unit.
As terrified as Endo was, he had no alternatives. This man had just taken away his last hope of survival; his two swords. He'd done it so easily. It pissed Endo off to no extent. He'd trained for years on those swords, and this man had unarmed him in a matter of minutes.
He'd only lost in one fight while he was in the military, but he knew it should've been much more than that. His comrades had viewed him as weak and had tried to make a meal out of him. But someone had protected him turning his time there, thankfully. However, the majority of military men were just as bad as the pirates. They didn't mind taking advantage of the weak.
And now he found himself in a similar situation, but there was no one who'd come to his rescue this time. Endo had thought he'd be fine since he'd fought so many battles during his service in the military and trained with those damn brutes. He thought he was stronger than this.
Of course, he was stupid for thinking he could make it all the way to the Inner Rings without ever getting caught. He'd been traveling for three years since leaving the military and he'd never been caught. Guess his luck had finally run out.
The man was studying Endo as they passed through the exit and out into the cool, dark hallway. Endo, glad for the cool, fresh air, was still timid about this strange, tall man and where he was leading him. Not to mention, he really wanted to go back and get his satchel filled with his clothes, toothbrush, and the locket; his only clue to his past. He also wondered if this man would ever return his swords to him, but he seriously doubted that.
If Endo had to guess, this man wanted him to be his sex slave. It was very common, especially on pirate ships, but Endo was not keen on becoming anyone's slave.
In the presence of this man, he knew he'd gotten himself into another impossible situation. He didn't want to be reminded of his time spent in the military and was already feeling depressed, angry, and sad when the man stopped in front of another steel doorway.
The man punched in a code into the keypad. The door beeped and said, "Welcome home, Captain Varrick."
The steel doors slid open, and Captain Varrick, while still gripping Endo's injured arm, pulled him through the doorway into Varrick's corridors. Varrick's room was lit up compared to the rest of the ship. His room was made up of white walls, a white bed, a white fluffy couch, and a white loveseat. The only color was the black nightstand and the black desktop.
Endo shifted uncomfortably just inside of the doorway, and his eyes began to wander briefly about the room. Yet, he watched carefully out of the corner of his eyes as Varrick released his arm and leisurely pulled off his white overcoat, revealing his tight blue undershirt, which bunched against his hard, large muscles.
The boy's heart raced wildly at the sight of Varrick's unnatural size and panic set in. He remembered similar men with huge muscles during his time in the military who had tried numerous times to corner him. He shivered at the thought.
Varrick, who had crossed the large room towards the couch, looked as if he might sit down, but when he saw Endo shiver, he strode back towards the entrance.
"My doors automatically lock when I enter," Varrick said as he approached within a few feet.
Endo turned to look behind him at the steel door and noticed the red light shining on the keypad. The door had automatically locked them in, and without Varrick's code, there was no way they could get out. Endo had been too scared to even think about running, but now that he knew there was absolutely no escape, it made it all the more worse.
Varrick took another step closer, and Endo swung his face back to him. "Is that it, boy? Are you afraid of me? Do you wish to run again?"
Endo's sapphire eyes widened, and he involuntarily backed up into the steel door. The cold steel was startling against the flesh on his arms and neck and he tried to arch back forward away from the door, but Varrick had already closed the distance.
Varrick's arms shot out on either side of Endo, trapping him against the steel. The captain leaned in towards Endo's face, and he wanted to squirm to get away but knew that would only make Varrick happy, seeing his prey trying to get away. So, he stood his ground and stared up into those crystal green eyes.
"What's your name, boy?" Varrick asked, his hot breath came out close to Endo's forehead and smelled a bit of liquor and chocolates.
"Endo," he replied, unwavering.
"Hmm, that's unusual. I like it. How old are you, Endo? You look very young," the captain said and his eyes wandered up and down the boy's short body.
Endo frowned but answered. "I don't know exactly. I can't remember the time I spent on Galdera before the military came, so I don't remember exactly when I was born," he stated, hating that he had to admit the truth to a complete stranger.
Varrick scrunched his forehead, making his bushy, light eyebrows meet in the middle. He frowned for a split second, but then it was instantly replaced with a wicked smile. "Well, if you can't remember, I suppose there are ways to find out if you are old enough."
"What? Old enough? What do you," but before Endo could finish his question, Varrick shoved Endo into the steel door with his forearm, holding him in place.
With his other hand, the captain began to unbutton and unzip his tight-fitting, black jeans. Yet, Endo desperately struggled against Varrick in vain as the man easily pulled down his pants and underwear, slipping his rough hand in between Endo's thighs and fondling him.
Against his mind and own will, Endo felt his own body betray him as he became fully erect from a few hard strokes. To his further embarrassment, he heard the slick stickiness as Varrick stroked him so skillfully that pre-cum slurped down his tip.
"Please, stop," Endo begged, but his voice sounded weak and pathetic even to his ears.
"Is that what you really want?" Varrick asked and bent his head lower towards Endo's ear. "It looks like you are a decent size, Endo. You are old enough for all the things I want to do to you," Varrick whispered.
Adrenaline pumped through Endo at the mere remembrance of what the military men had subjected him to, and with one last burst of strength, Endo cried out, feeling a sort of electrical energy flow throughout his body and into Varrick's as he shoved him off.
The boy was thoroughly stunned when Varrick stumbled backwards several feet, and by the look of Varrick's awed expression, Endo could tell he was surprised by Endo's strength as well. Had he always been this strong? He wasn't sure how he'd flung Varrick off of him, but he was glad that he had. He was sure Varrick would not have stopped with just fondling, and he didn't want to become Varrick's sex slave. He had to avoid that by any means necessary.
Endo was trying to pull up his pants but his erection wouldn't go down. The captain gave him a cocky grin and tried to move a step closer to touch him. But he held up his hands and scrambled away from the doorway so that Varrick couldn't corner him anymore.
The captain only tilted his head as if confused, perhaps wondering where the boy would run to, but he didn't care as long as Varrick didn't touch him. Still, Varrick wasn't going to give up that easily and began following Endo around the room as if stalking his prey.
"Please, Varrick, just leave me alone. I don't want to be your slave. Just let me go, please," Endo begged, but he knew his bright blue eyes glittered with hatred for Varrick as he continued to pursue him.
"I can't do that, Endo. This is my ship, and what is found on my ship, belongs to me. I'll do with those things as I see fit. I want you as my sex slave. I'll train you. So, be a good boy and come to me so I can help you with that," Varrick said and pointed at Endo's crotch.
The boy backed up again into a nearby wall, but just as he thought about making dash for it, his vision blurred. He suddenly felt light-headed, and for a brief moment, the room began to spin. Through the twirling room, however, he managed to catch a glimpse of Varrick closing in on him, and he took a step to escape the wall. As soon as he did, his vision clouded again, and he realized he had misstepped.
Endo was falling and soon his head would hit the rugged metal floor, but when the pain never happened, he dimly wondered why. His head swam from the dizziness and fogginess, and as a concerned Varrick entered his field of vision, Endo's eyes threatened to close shut. Vaguely, Endo thought how that gentle look didn't suit the captain's face... and then the world faded to black.

Yes, I think when I dreamed up this story (a very long time ago), I was watching a lot of Space Cowboy, lol. But I decided to go with space pirates instead
Yes, I think even Endo wishes he had more BG on himself, haha. Oh, wait, poor Endo
And yes, no human females. It's been over 50 years since anyone has seen a human female. But well, what do non-gays or men who aren't into men do? If I ever get to writing the next chapter, you'll find out
Yeah, fight scenes can be a bit challenging because you have to visualize every single movement and make it realistic at the same time. My novel, Daughter of the Sun, has too many fighting scenes. Sometimes, I have to act them out with a friend just so I can really visualize how it would play out, lol.
And oops! Yeah, Endo's penis size has nothing to do with it. I should probably take out that line, "You are decent size.' The only reason Varrick feels Endo up is 1) to confirm he's not a little boy, meaning he has pubs, and 2) to test Endo's reaction. He wants to make sure that just by stroking him, he can get him hard, and of course, he wants to know how fast Endo gets hard. The faster, the better for Varrick. This probably means Endo is inexperienced, but it also means he can be trained easily. Varrick is so wicked
Thank you so much for your feedback
Ah so I'm guessing we're just not supposed to know a lot about Endo cause he himself is unaware? Mystery....
I love that you act out your fight scenes, what a brilliant idea! I bet that helps for realism and making them a lot more understandable and less boring ^^
That totally makes sense if Varrick's feeling him up to see if he's got hair down there
Hm, I don't think I did dream the idea for Chained Devotion, or if I did, I don't remember what the dream was about. I think at the time I was just watching too many sci-fi movies and I decided I wanted to write one where women were extinct. That was the only basis for creating Chained Devotion, haha. I couldn't tell you how I came up with all the rest. I guess I just sit down and brainstorm and usually some crazy idea hits me. It was the same with my vampire series. I only knew I wanted to write about vamps and the main characters needed to be twins. Then from there, I created a huge world with complicated characters and relationships. I don't really know how I do it sometimes, but I'm really glad my brain is warped like that
If you ever need help brainstorming, let me know. I'm full of ideas
Yea, Endo doesn't remember what happened to him before his time in the military. He just remembers being brought into the military and that's sort of when his life started. He only has one real clue to his past: the locket. As the story progresses, the readers will learn along with Endo about his past, meaning he'll even be surprised by the things he learns about himself.
Oh, yes, it is so helpful. There is one scene in DoS where my character Bella is dragged backwards by her hair. Everything is from Bella's POV, so I was really unsure what she'd see or how she'd twist her head if she was being dragged backwards. So, I had to ask my sister to help me with that, but thankfully, she didn't actually pull on my hair or drag me
Oh, yes, thank you so much for catching that! I'll probably delete that one line and maybe add something about Endo already reaching puberty, which of course is satisfying for Varrick.
Ha, no, even if Endo had been small, hadn't reached puberty, or didn't respond to his touches, Varrick isn't the type to give up on something he wants so easily. If Endo wasn't mature enough, Varrick would lock him up and wait. If Endo just wasn't responding to his touch, well, Varrick would probably be vexed and impatient. His frustrations would probably get the best of him and he'd rape Endo, eventually. Good thing Endo reacted
Ah, yes Endo's locket...mysterious...I'm sure you'll get into that a bit more in the next chapters, so can't wait!
Wahahaha, I'm glad you didn't actually have your sister drag you by the hair, though I can imagine just lying down to visualize that with her standing over you was very helpful! Um...oh the questions that would arise from asking my husband to help me visualize a fight scene. He doesn't even know I write...and if he did he'd probably ask what I write about
Oh Varrick...I bet he would keep Endo in a cage somewhere until he matured...good thing Endo's not a kid and doesn't have to suffer that too, it might break him! Oh poor Endo...I hate what's happening to him but it's all so interesting...and sexy too...
Yea, the thing I love about Chained Devotion is dropping all these subtle hints about Endo's BG. I really like making my readers read in between the lines
Oh god, could you imagine? Um, dear, I need you to lie down in this position and...
Awe, I'm so glad you like how I torture my OCs
boringpersonal lifeOh I'm so bad at reading between the lines...I'll have to reread when I get a chance to look more into Endo's BG...
Hahaha, I WISH he was up for laying in positions for me to draw...I think he'd figure it out though and be really weirded out by me hahahah oTL
